E-Verification of Income Tax Return

E-verification must be completed within 30 days from the date of filing of the income tax return online.

1. Login to your Income Tax portal using your login credentials: eportal.incometax.gov.in
2. Navigate to e-File > Income Tax Return > E-Verify Return
3. Click on “E-Verify”
4. Select the option “I would like to verify using OTP on the mobile number registered with Aadhaar”
5. Click on “Continue”
6. Check the checkbox stating “I agree to validate my Aadhaar Details”
7. Click on “Generate Aadhaar OTP”
8. Enter the OTP received on your mobile number linked with your Aadhaar and click Validate
